Vallarai sambal

 

Ingredients:

Vallarai leaves 200 Gms
Onion 1 medium
Green chillies 4
Coconut scrapped 1 cup
Lime juice 2 teaspoon
Dry chillies 2
Lime juice 2 teaspoon
Oil or ghee 3 teaspoon

Method:

Wash well the Vallarai leaves, remove the entire stalk.

In a grinder, grind these leaves, onion, green chillies, salt and coconut scrapings together to a paste.

In a hot pan add the oil or ghee and gently fry the diced onions (1 tablespoon) and cut dry chillies until the onions turn golden.

Now add the Vallarai paste and lemon juice, mix well.

Keep stirring until the paste thickens.
