Dried prawns sambal

 Ingredients: 

Dried prawns 300 Gms

Onion 1 small

Chilli powder 2teaspoons

Ginger ½ inch piece

Curry leaves 6

Salt to taste

Coconut scrapings ½ cup

Tamarind paste ½ teaspoons

Method: 

Dry roast the dried prawns a little to get the moisture dried out, and dry roast the coconut scrapings.

In a grinder, grind the prawns, coconut, onions, chilli powder, tamarind paste and salt together to a coarse powdery mixture.

Do not add any water.

This can be stored for a few days in a dry jar.

Serve with: rice, string hoppers, pittu or even bread
