Onion 1 medium
Dry chillies 4
Scraped coconut 2 tablespoon
Remove older parts of the banana flower and starting from the top of the flower, gently chop into very small pieces and empty into a bowl with water.
It is bit difficult to do this but practice makes it perfect.
Add some salt into the water and beat the flower pieces with a fork to remove the bitterness.
Squeeze the flower when ready to cook. Remove as much water as you can.
In a hot frying pan, fry the diced onion and chopped dry chillies until soft.
Add the flower pieces and salt and 2 tablespoon of water, cover and cook stirring now and again.
When well cooked, add the coconut scrapping and continue to cook stirring until the mixture is dry.
